June TBR | #PrideLibrary19 | Booksmagick

It’s PRIDE MONTH and I’m planning on reading some queer books (she said as though she hadn’t touched a queer book since last year’s #pride :D). There are just some unread queer boks on my shelves and I take June as a challenge to finally read them ❤ And I hope I can reach my goal even though my reading whims are … unfathomable at the best of times.

My current read which I started back in May but has accompanied me into June is Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston and its the most fun queer book I’ve read this year! It follows the story of Alex – First Son of the US – and Henry – Royal Heir to the throne of England – and their enemies to friends to lovers relationship. Absolutely adorable and funny!

I’ll also try to post more this month and give you queer book recs and reviews. I’m participating in the June #PrideLibrary19 photo challenge on Instagram as well, so if you want to look at cute pics, that’s the place to go. The challenge is hosted by Anniek’s Library, Michelle Likes Things and The Library Looter. Unfortunately I am too busy to post every day but Instagram pics I can manage for a month. So #PrideLibrary19 will appear sporadically on my blog but I’ll do my best. 🙂

And The Four June Books Are …

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

Solitaire by Alice Oseman

What If It’s Us by Becky Albertally & Adam Silvera

They Both Die At The End by Adam Silvera

What If It’s Us and They Both Die At The End have been on my TBR ever since they were released and hopefully, June is going to be the month when I finally read both of them. Six of Crows has been recommended to me so often that I gave in and just bought it. I think I started reading when I was down with flu but couldn’t appreciate it at the time so I set it aside for later. And Solitaire has been on my radar ever since I read the graphic novel Heartstopper by Alice Oseman which is just about the cutest shit I’ve ever read. If you want a heart-felt, cute and overall adorable graphic novel I suggest you read Heartstopper. Full review here.

I hope you are reading some cool books that you love and enjoy ❤ Happy Pride!

  1. I just read & loved heartstopper as well! Absolutely love “six of crows” and hope you like it, curious about what your thoughts about “they both die at the end” will be because I’ve been wanting to read it for a while as well, but I sense tears from that title and I’m not ready haha

  2. I read They Both Die at the End at it sadly didn’t live up to the hype for me, but maybe it was because I expected it to make me cry and it didn’t! Six of Crows is one of my favorite books of all time though, and I’ve been dying to read Heartstopper, but I just can’t find a copy anywhere!
